9 Cool Gifts for Brandy Drinkers
I have become an accidental brandy drinker because I love brandy-based cocktails like the Brandy Old Fashioned Sweet and Spiked Apple Cider. Brandy has a depth that is lacking in clear liquor but isn’t quite as heavy as other brown liquors.
If you aren’t familiar with brandy (I know I wasn’t before I started drinking it) you might wonder what it even is. Brandy is a type of distilled alcoholic beverage made from wine. The most common brandy is made from grapes but technically can be made from any fruit wine. If someone just mentions brandy you can bet it’s made with grapes, but the other fruit wine is reference based on what it’s made from, i.e. cherry brandy, apple brandy, blackberry brandy…you get it.
Cognac and Armagnac get thrown into the brandy discussion as well as they are types of brandy, but they must be made in those specific regions of France (like Champagne can only be made in the Champagne region of France).
I’m not one to drink brandy neat, but I know plenty of brandy lovers do. However the brandy drinker in your life likes to drink it, there is sure to be a gift for them on this list.

Snifter Glasses
FOR THE TRADITIONALIST
Snifter glasses are the classic way to drink brandy neat. Holding the base of the bulb in your palm warms up the alcohol, and the opening to the glass is the perfect shape to ‘snift’ the scent. The clean design of the glasses lets you admire the alcohol.
Waterford
Double Old Fashioned Glasses
KEEP IT CLASSY, SAN DIEGO
There’s nothing like drinking from a real cut crystal glass. It’s more versatile than a snifter but still classic.
We make all our old fashioned’s in these glasses, and they have a nice weight to them. The crosscut Lismore design lends itself to the throwback vibe.
Luxardo
Maraschino Cherries
AN OLD-FASHIONED NECESSITY
No one wants to spend over $20 on a garnish, but that’s what makes this a perfect gift! These cherries are the gold standard when it comes to maraschino. No neon Red #40 dye here since they are made in Italy.
Red Clover Coffee
Coffee
BRANDY, BUT FOR THE DAY
Coffee beans soaked in blackberry brandy…OK, sign me up! I haven’t tried this yet but it has great reviews and I love the company’s giveback mission. So basically what I’m saying is, I know someone who will be getting this as a gift this year.
Asbach
Chocolate
THE GOLDEN TICKET
These little chocolate beans are filled with real brandy. They’re made in Germany and are kind of hard to find outside of the holidays. Room temperature brandy inside chocolate is a little too strong for me, but my grandma swears by them. Just one and you should be good to go!
Actually, I think she stores them in the freezer but they are still just slightly too strong for me. I’ll take mine in a glass please.

A FROZEN COCKTAIL
For a true brandy lover, a book about the best brandy’s in the world would make a great gift (along with one of the bottles featured maybe?). I haven’t read this but it has great reviews and word on the street is if you are going to read one book about brandy, this should be it.
