The Flight Attendant

‘The Flight Attendant’ is a series with episodes releasing weekly, which is to say I’m up to date on all 4 episodes.  Netflix has forever ruined us with binge-watching being the new normal.

Kaley Cuoco plays a hot mess of a flight attendant, with very alcohol-dependent vibes, who finds herself deep into a murder mystery.  After what is apparently a hard night of partying, she wakes up with no recollection of what happened to the dead guy beside her (this all happens in the trailer and episode 1 so I’m sticking to my ‘no spoiler’ commitment).  And with her being a flight attendant there are some international scenes sprinkled in, at this point I’ll take any vicarious traveling I can get.

An odd thing to say about a show based on murder, but it’s campy, kind of fun, and definitely entertaining.

Virgin River | Season 2

The ‘Virgin River’ series premiered at the end of 2019 but I didn’t get a chance to watch it until 2020.  I’ve basically watched the two seasons back to back so it’s hard not to compare the two.  Check out the full review for season 1.

Season 2 of the series, about a big-city nurse who escapes to a small town in Northern California, is a little more cheesy and predictable than the first season.  In season 2 you get character development and quite a few simultaneous storylines (some more interesting than others).

‘Virgin River’ maintains its small-town charm with a hint of looming danger.
