‘Schitt’s Creek’ Review
Schitt’s Creek
Hulu
After claiming I just didn’t get it during the Emmy post, I committed to you (and myself) I would give Schitt’s Creek another try before the Golden Globes…and I did.
Not only did I give it another shot, but I also watched all 6 seasons. I wouldn’t say I binged because I wasn’t watching episode after episode in one night, but I most definitely watched an episode a day.
When I first tried watching the series 2 years ago the series just seemed so contrived. Rich family loses all their money and learns how real people live, not very original. But that as a plot is just scratching the surface of their journey. In the end, I found the entire Rose family, and their fellow Schitt’s Creekians, endearing.
Was every episode a cliffhanger? No. Was the writing witty and clever? Not especially. Did I look forward to not having to think about anything, spending time with the Roses, and laughing every single night? Abso-freaking-lutely.
I am: Obsessed
