This Week’s Binge 9.4.20
Watch
Ted Lasso
Apple TV+
Ted Lasso has the potential to be really bad. A show about an American college football coach who gets hired to coach a British soccer team. After Netflix failed with Steve Carell’s distracting character in Space Force, I expected this to be a long SNL skit.
I was pleasantly surprised. Jason Sudeikis plays the character naturally, even though it’s far from who he is in real life. There are multiple strong plots and relationships, between him and his boss, him and his team, the teammates.
Even if you aren’t a sports fan give it a try. There is enough story that it’s still enjoyable aside from soccer. If you do love sports then this is a no-brainer.

Million Dollar Beach House
Netflix
Spoiler…this is no Selling Sunset. This series follows a group of people who work for the same real estate agency selling homes in the Hamptons. Where it falls shorts is that the people and the relationships are pretty lackluster. They’re all kind of annoying and the stories aren’t that interesting.
What kept me watching, and I did finish the series, is real estate. I love real estate and I love New York. If you don’t have a fondness for either, don’t bother.
