I didn’t feel this book had the cadence of books I’ve been reading lately.  Although the chapters alternated between characters the individual chapters were very long and probably for that reason seemed to start slow.  As the book went on I did become more interested and it got better.  

While I was entertained and I finished it, it’s hard to really like a book if you don’t love any of the characters.
