Stylish with Jenna Lyons

At first, I wasn’t sure exactly what to make of ‘Stylish with Jenna Lyons’, and I’m not sure I still do. But I think that’s part of the charm.
We all know Jenna Lyons as a style icon and J. Crew’s former President and Creative Director, but what we didn’t know was what she was going to do once she stepped down in 2017. And that’s what this show is about. She is trying to figure out what she wants to do too (and haven’t we all been there). It’s a reality series that is part competition (they are hiring a team), part interior design, and part StartUp.
It’s refreshing to see that someone as accomplished and idolized as Jenna Lyons still gets imposter syndrome. She comes off surprisingly genuine and authentic. I admired her before for her sense of fashion and business acumen, but now I love her for her leadership and empathy too. In fact, she’s a new IG follow.

Gangs of London

Holy sleeper hit. ‘Gangs of London’ is a UK show…about gangs in London. Shortly after it aired in the UK AMC bought the rights to air it in the US and is co-producing the second season.
The series starts off when the head of the family is murdered, and the subsequent fallout that follows. I have not seen anything on TV with the type of fight scenes this has, it makes ‘The Sopranos‘ look PG. Aside from all the captivating (the cinematography is stunning) action scenes, the complexities of the different families keep it truly binge-worthy.
The good news is a second season has been announced (per the above, AMC is co-producing). Can’t wait!
