This Week’s Binge 10.16.20

The Boys season 2 finale was this week, and it finished strong.  Excited to hear Amazon has already renewed the series for 2 more seasons.

Song Exploder

Song Exploder is a limited docuseries in which each episode tells the story of how an iconic song gets made.  Based on a podcast by the same name, it combines the behind-the-scenes of songwriting, with lesser-known elements of producing and mixing.

Music invokes such a visceral reaction, Song Exploder is a little bit like peeking behind the curtain.  You realize how many elements have to come together for the magic to be made.

I’m really hoping there will be a second season.

Enola Holmes

Enola Holmes is the younger sister of the great detective Sherlock Holmes.  When their mother goes missing, Enola goes on a quest to locate her.

Enola takes after her mother, and is a feminist ahead of her time, and wiser than her years.  She’s kind of a detective prodigy.  

This movie has a cute plot, but most importantly, introduces us to Enola and her family dynamics.  They have set it up, and I believe it could be, to be a successful new franchise.  I see lots of potential in Enola.
