An Honest Review of S’Attraction Magnetic Eyelashes

Ah, the never-ending quest of having gorgeous eyelashes.  There are natural lashes, mascara, lash growth serum, glue on lashes, magnetic lashes, magnetic eyeliner and lashes, and eyelash extensions.  Options are abundant and each has its own pros and cons.

Some of the options I’ve tried and some of I’ve passed on (have yet to try extensions because of the upkeep, and I’ve already got hair extensions, so #balance).

I saw someone on IG try Scandal Eyes magnetic eyeliner and lashes on their stories they looked so easy.  I knew I needed to give them a go myself and see if they were too good to be true. Keep reading to find out my experience and grab my promo code.

About

S’Attraction makes reusable false eyelashes that have miniature magnets on them, and they adhere to magnetic eyeliner.  The eyelashes are vegan and cruelty-free, while the eyeliner is hypoallergenic.  Being hypoallergenic is pretty important to me since I have sensitive skin.

The company has recently rebranded to S’Attraction from its original name of Scandal’Eyes, so you may see it either way.  When I bought the kit it was Scandal’Eyes but on the website now it’s S’Attraction, it’s the same.

The Product

I bought the Day’N’Night Doe kit which includes two different sets and styles of lashes.  The kit also included magnetic eyeliner, a storage case, and an applicator.

  • ‘Secret’ style magnetic eyelashes, medium volume for a subtle difference
  • ‘Dreamy’ style magnetic eyelashes, high volume, and long length for a dramatic look (I believe ‘Dreamy’ is called ‘Classy’ if you buy individually and not in the set)
  • Magnetic liquid eyeliner in black
  • The storage case has two sections and on the top of the compact is a mirror; each section has a ring that set of eyelashes magnetized to
  • Eyelash applicator, like a metal pair of gripping tweezers that I didn’t use at all

How to Apply

No instructions come with the magnetic eyeliner and lashes and I couldn’t find anything on the website either so I did some experimentation.  Here is what I found to work the best for me:

  • Do a quick swipe of mascara on your real lashes in black so the color of your real lashes matches the color of the false eyelashes for easy blending.  This is not for lengthening or volumizing, a quick swipe to coat is all you’re looking for.
  • Apply the liquid eyeliner as close to the lash line as possible with no skin showing between your natural lash line and the liquid liner.  I typically like pretty subtle eyeliner but needed to make it a slightly thicker line than I normally would.  You want to give the magnets a good base to adhere to.
  • Be careful not to get the liquid eyeliner on your real lashes or you’ll be battling the strip from sticking to your eyelash instead of your lash line.
  • UPDATE: For the lashes to really stick, I’ve experimented with letting the eyeliner completely dry (2-ish minutes) and then reapplying a second coat. It seems to really help the eyeliner from flaking.
  • Once the eyeliner is completely dry remove one strip of eyelashes from the storage case and start from the inner corner of the eye, ensuring the magnet is on the eyeliner.  From the inner corner to the outer corner adhere to each of the 5 magnets.
  • If the strip is too long, remove the eyelash and trim the outer side of the strip.  Never trim the inner because you can end up with a sharp point and you do not want the potential of that irritating your eye.  If you need to trim, trim up to the next magnet.  A magnet should always be on each end so that the ends are firmly held down to the eyeliner.

How to Remove

Take the outer lash and gently pull up and in, around a 45-degree angle, and they will come off easily.  After a quick swipe of the magnets on a makeup remover-soaked cotton pad place them back on the magnetic strip in their case for storing.

I used the same makeup remover-soaked cotton pad and proceeded to remove the magnetic eyeliner from my eyes.  I just held the pad on the eyeliner for a few seconds and then gently rubbed it, it was just like removing regular liquid eyeliner.

The best part for me was that there was no residue on my eyes (well that, and no irritation).  With the traditional glue-on false eyelashes I would undoubtedly have glue residue on my lashes for DAYS.

Do They Last?

I wore the ‘Secret’ eyelashes for seven hours and they were still on by the end of the night.  A little eyeliner had worn off on the inner and outer corners so I think it’s a good idea to take the eyeliner bottle with you in case you need a quick touch-up while you’re out and about.  They are very lightweight and by the end of the night, I forgot I was wearing them.

The website says they are reusable up to 30 wears and I can see that, as long as the magnets hold up.  When I took them off they looked like they hadn’t even been worn.

The Price

The kit I bought, with two sets of lashes, was $77.98, but if you use the promo code Obsessed you’ll get 30% off the entire site.

Are there less expensive eyelashes out there?  Yes.  But as a firm believer in you get what you pay for, I think these are worth the money if you wear them multiple times.

Final Thoughts

Like Olive & June nail polish, I have found a game-changing product.  My regular eyelashes are nice with a good coating of mascara (this tubing brand is the best!) for every day, not justifying the upkeep of eyelash extensions for me.  But when I wanted to take it up a notch, I was dealing with the inconvenience and mess of glue.  I will not be going back to glue again.

S’Attraction magnetic eyelashes and eyeliner are easy to apply, lightweight, reusable, and look good.  These are now my go-to. If you buy, don’t forget to use Obsessed to get 30% off your purchase.

Was excited to try my new lashes. First time wearing them stayed on good. The second time couldn’t get them to stay on. Im disappointed 😞 in the lashes especially the $ I pd,you would think I would’ve gotten alot of wears out of them. I do not recommend 😐 😒 them. Disappointed all in all. Went on YouTube for application since no instructions. Should offer $ back or send another set at no charge. Something is definitely wrong with the magnets not adhere to the eyeliner. I do shake the eyeliner and let dry after after application. Something not right with them thats fir sure. This is my honest to God opinion

Make sure when you apply them the second time there isn’t any residual eyeliner on the magnets. I had that issue and just peeled it off, but you could probably use makeup remover too. If that doesn’t work, it looks like there is a 30-day money-back guarantee on the S’attraction website so try reaching out to them. Let me know how it goes!

Oh really? Mine actually took a couple of weeks to come, so not sure how long it’s been for you. I don’t think they charged me though until they shipped them.

I live the idea of these lashes but after a few hours they usually start lifting, I’ve even had half of the lab fall off. Thankfully I was at home. Then when I was taking one of them out of the tray one of themagnets stayed on the tray. So over all I’m not impressed

Oh no!!! I noticed that the liner got a little flakey after wearing it for a few hours but I reapplied the eyeliner and it was fine. I’m thinking I might try using a couple of thin lines from the beginning and see how that works. I love the magnetic lashes though and the fact that the liner comes off so easily. The glue takes literally days to come off for me.
